Understanding CAL"Offset" Parameter

-         The Level 1 Offset parameter sets the proportional power biasing (similar to Manual Reset/Bias in West products and Working Point in PMA products).

-         For CAL, the values can be +/- 0.5 x the proportional band. If BAND was 30, OFFSET could be -15 to +15.

-         At the maximum possible +ve value of Offset, proportional power when PV =SP is 100%

-         At the maximum possible -ve value of Offset, proportional power when PV =SP is 0%

-         When Offset = 0, proportional power when PV =SP is 50%

-         The attached spreadsheet illustrates this.

-         Offset also affects the CAL controllers’ derivative band in a similar way.
